About

Lisa Eaton Wright MS RD LDN
Lisa Eaton Wright is a registered and licensed dietitian in Illinois, and founder of Eaton Wright, a nutrition education and wellness-focused business that helps people of all ages achieve optimal health.  Lisa found through nutritional counseling  that many people became paralyzed trying to do everything they read or heard about when it comes to food and nutrition – and end up doing nothing.  Using her “Meet Me Halfway”TM philosophy, Lisa will help you make healthy swaps and nutritious “real food” additions to your meals that are simple, satisfying, and sustainable!

Lisa earned a BS degree in Nutrition and a MS in Nutrition and Wellness, both from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.  In 2008, Lisa was recognized as the Illinois Dietetic Association’s Outstanding Dietetic Student.  She also has a BS in political science, quenching her love of policy and politics through volunteering in professional associations and as a twice-elected school board member.

Currently, Lisa works with Moraine Valley Community College, the second largest community college in Illinois.  Her focus is employee health and wellness.  She is also an adjunct instructor at Benedictine University teaching Community Nutrition to undergraduate nutrition majors.

Active in several professional organizations, Lisa is currently a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, serving on its Legislative and Public Policy Committee; the Illinois Dietetic Association, serving as its President-Elect and a media spokesperson; and the West Suburban Dietetic Association, serving as chair of the Government Affairs Committee.  She also maintains membership on several Dietetic Practice Groups (DPGs):  Nutrition Entrepreneurs (NE), Dietitians in Business and Communications (DBC), and Food & Culinary Professionals (FCP).

Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, reading and reading some more; a good cup of coffee; dark chocolate; and staying active by walking, burst training or weight training.  Lisa loves finding new recipes and trying them out with her husband Chas.  Having always been self-employed, she’s often joked with her husband that she married him for his health insurance benefits.  Now she tells him she married him for his name, so she’s proudly able to call herself Lisa Eaton Wright! Eaton Wright…it’s a lifestyle, not a diet!
